Andy MacDonald is the National Campus Director for the Student PIRGs. In this capacity, he works with PIRG campus chapters all across the country, as well the PIRGs' National Student Projects, which includes the National Student Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness and Free the Planet. Mr. MacDonald has directed summer campaign offices in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Colorado and California and currently works during the summer as the Assistant National Canvass Director. In 1999, Mr. MacDonald started an organization called ecopledge.com, an organization that works to hold corporations accountable for their environmental practices.  He organized the ECOnferences in 1999 and 2001, both of which attracted close to 2000 students from around the country. He got his start canvassing in Boulder with CoPIRG in the summer of 1983 and has devoted his life to organizing and activism with PIRG ever since. Mr. MacDonald has run many campaigns for PIRG, including starting new campus chapters and running environmental ballot initiatives. He graduated from Cornell University in 1983. Mr. MacDonald will serve as a senior advisor to this project.
